Chillin roadside on I-80
What a day! We got a full night of sleep and hit the road by 7am. We were making great time with the flat interstate through Nebraska. Just as we were about the enter Lincoln, we blew a tire on the tow dolly. What a game changer! We were stuck on the roadside for 3 hours! Roadside assistance took two hours to get to us! But once he got there, he busted his ass to get us back on the road quickly and safely. What a guy!
Hello again my old friend
The rest of the day was somewhat uneventful. We were pretty wiped from spending three hours on the side of the road in 98 degree weather. But we lowered through. Dad powered through to get us into Illinois. I had a little incident with sunscreen in my eyes and couldn’t see well enough to pitch in. We hit the I80 truck stop and got some DQ, making it to Geneseo, IL. Just another 7-8 hour drive in the beast to get the rest of the way to Cleveland. Almost there!
